Wildlife

The Cairngorms National Park has many special species of wildlife due to its ancient pine forests and terrain.  Red squirrels, capercaillie, crested tits, osprey, pine marten, red deer, golden eagle and mountain hare are to name only a few of the amazing birds and animals living in the Cairngorms.  We can help to advise where is best to go to see these fascinating creatures or can organise bespoke guided tours for you with our friends at Speyside Wildlife or with Mike at A9Birds. The RSPB at Loch Garten has a fabulous osprey hide, from which you can watch the returning osprey between April and August; a spectacle in itself.  The RSPB often organise Capercaillie watch for the early mornings to enable sightings of this rare bird.
