Meet Our Highland Coos
Hamish & Dougal
Meet Hamish and Dougal, our 4-year-old Highland Coos that live in the grounds of our site in the Highlands. After the passing of our Highland Cow Archie, who had resided at Muckrach for the many years we welcomed brothers Hamish and Dougal as calves to carry on Archie’s legacy, and they have enjoyed the views, the visitors and the occasional gluten free oatcake from their field at the front of our land ever since.

We want you to relax and feel at home in our gorgeous self-catering accommodation. Therefore, we design our luxury highland lodges with your comfort in mind. The contemporary, luxury interior design creates an inviting space. Each lodge is self-catering for your convenience, fitted with kitchens with high-end appliances so you can prepare meals at your leisure. If you’re looking for hot tub lodges, we have a couple of charming lodges that have a hot tub in their private gardens.
All our Highland lodges are pet-friendly too, so your dog can enjoy a Highland Break too!
