Wildlife in the Cairngorms

There is so much to see in the Cairngorms National Park.

If Wildlife watching is your thing, then The Cairngorms is the perfect place for you to visit. The Cairngorms is home to a quarter of the UK’S rare and endangered species and quite a lot of the animals found in The Cairngorms are just native to the area.

In the Cairngorms you will find animals such as the Pine Marten, Golden Eagle, Scottish Crossbill, Lapwings, Scottish Wildcats, Dotterel, the Red Squirrel, Hare and also the Rock Ptarmigan.

There is also the Cairngorms Reindeer herd which live on the mountainside.
