Built in 1861 as a shooting lodge for the large estate of Clan Grant, Muckrach Country House changed hands several times, and was even used as a convalescent home for wounded soldiers during World War I & II. Muckrach has retained much of it’s historic charm, with many of the original features of the house, such as the grand staircase and ornate plasterwork, still intact. The property is a testament to the enduring beauty and allure of Scotland’s rich architectural heritage.

The Library can also double up as a beautiful private dining room for up to 10 guests.

Our cosy snug is the perfect place to rest and relax, especially in the colder months as it features a warming log burning stove. The snug also has direct access to the front terrace with outdoor seating and a hot tub to the side.
